Wel the only time when I wear glasses are my sun glasses when it is sunny - so I don't reallly have much experience in wearing glasses - have you ever thought of wearing contact lenes instead???

I wouldn't really worry about what other people think when others give you strange looks - just ignore them - it's their problem & not yours!!! If it makes you feel good when you leave the opticians with new glasses then that's a good thing - go with the flow, don't worry about spending a lot of time choosing a new frame - it is important to you to get the right pair to make you feel good - as you said - so that is your reward for spending a long time to get it right if you like!!! SmileWinkCool

Oh I just noticed some thing else it say...You can fix (if you want to - I haven't but the track will slip a bit I have found if you don't - up to you) using track fixing pins (R207)

These 10mm pins are designed to fix track to baseboard through holes ready drilled in each track section.  Approximately 130 pins in a pack.

Do not hammer pins down hard as you may distort the track.

Well I've just layed my Trakmat straight on to my carpet with my track just resting / laying on top & I have not used a cork underlay - now saying that - I'm not sure how you got you Trakmat but every time I bought a Train set from Hornby  - most of them come with a Trackmat & Leaflet & a Owner's Manual (which is printed on an A3 sheet of paper) & it tells you about Baseboard Construction & taking a quick read of it - it doesn't say any thing about a cork underlay!!!

It say that a typical base board of 1800mm x 1200mm - It says The best meterial is an insulation board like Sundeala backed with a frame of softwood battern, 50mm x 25mm or bigger, running along & across the underside of the board at inervals of 600mm or less.

Before you fit the top, cut notches in the upperside of the internal frame members so you can route wiring under the baseboard - if/when you need it - etc

It also say if you Trakmat is made of paper use PVA Glue it stick it with or if plastic use double sides tape.

Hope this helps
