Assuming Hornby points used then add Hornby Electro point clips R8232 to every point.  2 clips per point are needed and they sold in packs of 20. (You will need 2 packs) Then add one DCC feed from the DCC system via a R8241 DCC track section or R8242 DCC power clip fitted anywhere near to the position of the DCC console etc.

If you want to improve reliability beyond reliance of the metal rail joiners (Fishplates) passing power and data rail to rail then consider installing a DCC Bus pair of reasonably sized wires around the layout and tapping off this pair of wires with smaller Dropper wires connecting bus wire to rail above.  Basic example can be seen here http://www.brian-lambert.co.uk/DCC.html scroll down a little to the bus drawing.   When using a bus pair and droppers IMO its best to solder the dropper wires to the bus wire and rails. Solder them to the rails outer web area or to the rails underside where the track has not been laid.

The advice from Flashbang is (as usual) spot on.

The layout you have drawn is ideal for DCC and although I have now added droppers and installed a Bus, I operated a very similar layout for a few years with the point clips he has described and just a single connection to the track from an Elite controller, which operated the trains and my (32 sets) of points.

Gone-fission........you can get standard points that are DCC wired already so negating the need for 'Point Clips' .........from another maker but readily available from the usual online retailers.........(trying to avoid breaching Forum rules re recommending others)............HB
