| Description

Designed to be positioned either side of any Hornby point, this surface mounted point motor allows for the convenient electrical operation of points.  Can be be used with the Hornby R8216 Digital Point / Accessory decoder or for DC analogue operation, the R044 Lever Switch.

May not be suitable for use with points which are incorporated into certain track configurations.  If in doubt consult the Hornby Helpline.


Hornby is the UK’s leading model railway brand. Its high quality 00 gauge models (1:76) are slightly bigger than H0 (1:87), but will run on the same gauge track.

Can I use this point motor for all the points on the R8217 Trak Mat layout please?

Hi. What power supply do I need for this point motor? I am using 12v DC 1.5A, and it will pull the switch across, but doesn't seem to have enough power to push it back.
