This superb train set is inspired by the very popular but short lived train of the same name which first went into service in 1924. This well equipped train with its luxurious Pullman cars would carry business men on a week day basis between London, Kings Cross and South Yorkshire. This Hornby train set helps recreate those wonderfully opulent days of train travel and features the Nigel Gresley designed A1 locomotive in the LNER livery of the period and three Pullman cars plus an oval of track with siding.
The set also includes a Hornby TrakMat and with the addition of Hornby Track and building packs available separately the simple layout can soon become a model railway befitting such an elegant train.
