Starting a fresh layout in HVR2 can be difficult. These layouts are designed to give you a starting point, inspiration, or a layout ready to run that you can enjoy.
How to install layouts
Please ensure that HVR2 is not running when attempting to install these layouts. Some layouts require more graphics processing memory than others and may not perform optimally on older computers.
- Download the layouts you wish to use to a suitable location on your computer.
- Click Start > Run and type (without the quotes) "C:\Program Files\Hornby Hobbies\Hornby Virtual Railway 2\saves" and click OK. (This is the standard installation directory. Individual configurations may vary)
- An Explorer window will open showing your own HVR2 layouts. Copy and paste the downloaded layouts into this folder.
- You can now close any windows opened during the installation.
The next time you run Hornby Virtual Railway 2 the new layouts will be accessible.
