Steam Locomotives

The first totally new models to appear this year will be examples of the rebuilt Royal Scot express passenger locomotive. Originally designed by Sir Henry Fowler, the rebuilt Royal Scots owed much to Sir William Stanier's redesign work which included the installation of a tapered boiler and very distinctive chimney! The second new model to arrive will be the rebuilt Patriot, which similar to the Royal Scot received a tapered boiler and even a double chimney! Finally and towards the end of the year, Stanier's 4-MT 2-6-4 4P Tank locomotive will make an appearance providing a much needed mixed traffic locomotive to the Midland stable! All three models will have fitted as standard a Hornby Digital Decoder. Hornby continues to raise the bar on design, detail and running quality and these models are certainly no exception.
