Accuracy, attention to detail, reliability and smooth running are the demands made by the most critical of modellers when they look to obtain a "modern image" model locomotive. Over the past years Hornby have not only taken up the challenge by producing high quality diesel / electric models but have surpassed the most stringent of requirements.
And new for this year and once again ready to move the standards of quality and detail even higher is the Brush Class 56; locomotives that in their relatively short life were real workhorses on the British railways network. First introduced in 1976 the Class was compiled of 135 locomotives and through their working lives of nearly 30 years, were used to haul all manner of freight stock. Initially there will be four Class 56 models introduced each incorporating subtle detail and body differences highlighting the care and attention to detail that Hornby have achieved in producing a model of such pure excellence.
